2. Date of collection: July 31 2018
3. Habitat of collection: Urban
4. Length (from head to gaster): 7-8mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Brown with reddish hue though legs
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Small
7. Distinguishing behavior: NA
8. Nest description: NA

9. Nuptial flight time and date: July 25- 31 2018

 

Both laid eggs immediately, I put them together and they seem fine. They moved all their eggs together.

Not 100% sure if they are polygene.

If they were found in an open environment then it could be Lasius neoniger. L. americanus tends to prefer living in wooded areas, I think. It could also be L. niger but I think that's a mainly European species. Anyone else have thoughts about this?
