3. Habitat of collection: pine forest at 6k ft elevation
4. Length (from head to gaster): over 1 cm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: black with blueish cast, shiny, blonde setea on gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: mistaken for queen large, stop and go movement, bolts when startled
8. Nest description: dead wood stumps
first time seeing one. never knew they got that big. (I'm used to pogonomymrex and novomessors being big ) Just asking for some help figuring out what kind and if any one knows when they fly I would appreciate the intel.
