Hi All! need some help figuring out what ants these are. They are hard to photograph as the run around like crazy and my phone can only do so much with the macro clip on. Any helpful insight is greatly appreciated!

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Chandler Az.
2. Date of collection: 8/25/18
3. Habitat of collection: rocky gravel area of park
4. Length (from head to gaster): 2mm worker, dealates 4-5mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: dark brown
6. Distinguishing characteristics: long antenna, do not seem to bite or sting
7. Distinguishing behavior: erratic when disturbed, aired out brood during storm, polygynous(multiple dealates spotted at time of storm)

8. Nest description: base of tree with at least 3 entrances, base of large rock with 2 entrances, small dirt entrances with no mounds (all within 3 ft of tree)

9. Nuptial flight time and date:

That is a crazy ant.
Literally, that's the name (because of their "erratic movement" when disturbed like you described)

Paratrechina longicornis

Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
    no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

You should use the spoiler feature for your signature, it's pretty long.
