Good formicarium building material?

Looking for something malleable that hardens after formed into desired shape, got any good suggestions?

Grout or hydrostone should be sufficient for your needs.

What do you mean by "malleable?"

Grout and hydrostone can be shaped, or molded into a preferred shape, but it's not what I would call malleable. Most good formicaria building materials aren't malleable, you usually have to mold them or drill/carve out pieces. 

I don't believe there's like playdough for formicaries.

Yes, malleable makes it sound like you want something dough like, if that is the case then I would have to think only clay would be suitable but it would have to be fired or it will soften when moist.

i use plaster mixed with sand and portland cement
