Still have less than thirty workers. If I get good grades and blah blah blah, I'll get to buy a colony of confirmed carebara diversa with 1000 workers. Then I can compare the two colonies. I don't think mine is C. diversa.

First feeding today, half a termite alate. I forcefully prodded open their chamber and they had a look and ~5 workers are now clustered around the corpse and taking a drink.

Not much, but progress...

All brood is now pupae. Not actually sure if there is major pupae, but there are quite a few pupae waiting to enclose.

Weeellllll

 

Turns out the original colony was carebara affinis instead of carebara diversa. But no worries, I also got the large colony of C.diversa.

Anyways, the original colony died and now i'm left with the carebara diversa which have been dying recently (dunno why), but they have 2 super majors as food stores, so they should make it.

 

Today I caught 2 new carebara affinis queens, lets hope they make it >w<
