Found these last summer at Joshua Tree National Park. As you will see my setup is about as simple as it gets. Right now there's about 15 workers and a bunch more on the way. (y)

I think the ants really approve of their unconventional home. Did you catch the queen or dig her up?

These are impossible to dig up even with a backhoe. All my ants come from founding queens after nuptial flights.

They really like those sunflowers. You can see the yellow spots all over the fungus.

the luck is stron with u chromerust, everyone elses a. versicolor had fungus problems, but yours look great, not trying to jinx it or anything
