I am only doing a journal for my best colony, I have one left as one died, one I let go, and one I clumsily dumped onto my carpet. They have over a dozen eggs and two larvae. They laid the eggs a few weeks ago. There are a little over 20 workers.
I just moved them into a plaster setup, and so far I can see everything pretty good.

Just some picture updates.

Everything is doing good. They have about 10 larvae and loads of eggs. Although you can't see in the pics, they had a termite feast. They are awesome at catching them!

Nice ants! They remind of army ants from the genus dorylus.

Thanks, they would be very tiny army ants, at roughly 2-3 millimeters long!

Yes, a very close relative.

Update: All my ants have died for no reason... My best guess would be lack of hydration. I could easily pick up another colony, but these ants don't interest me all that much. I don't particularly like small ants...

Neither do I. Can't really enjoy what I can't see. Lasius size is the absolute minimum I am willing to observe but would rather avoid if possible.
