eggs turned yellow and dry...?

I've had this messor queen for about 4 months and her eggs don't go pass the well,EGG stage they just shrivel up and dry...and then the queen starts the process all over and over again.

The only thing i have tried to prevent this was make it more moist in the test tube i thought maybe the cotton wasn't receiving enough moisture so it pushed it in a little bit more in,later...same result.

I really have no idea what the matter is,here are some pictures(bad quality i hope they do):

She's probably infertile. The eggs and most likely trophy/male eggs. 4 months is way too long. You should probably release her.

If you release her and she is unmated she is just going to die anyways. Might as well keep her just in case. If more moisture doesn't work why not try less moisture.

If you release her and she is unmated she is just going to die anyways. Might as well keep her just in case. If more moisture doesn't work why not try less moisture.



True. Honestly 4 months is way too long. Some queens don't do great in test tubes so maybe try a dirt setup? It's worth a shot.

Yea I actually put her in a dirt set up in the meantime...she dug it up now i just wait to see if the eggs react good.
