How to Prepare your Colonies for Vacation?

How should you prepare your colonies if you are going on a vacation for more than one week? If it is summer, should you attempt to put them into hibernation? If you have no one to care for them, what do you do? After using Galileo liquid ant feeders from byFormica, I came to a conclusion that they last about 1-2 weeks at the most for me. As I live in a hot area, the water evaporates quicker. Any replies is appreciated.

You should get someone to feed them but if you can't then give them lots of food a couple test tubes full of water. Or you could reverse hibernate them.
