Honestly if your gonna go 3D printed you should probably check out antzforall.uk
I'm looking specifically at an angle from a founding nest, in place of a test tube setup. antzforall doesn't have anything like that.
And the sponge only hydration system doesn't cut it for keeping a queen in the cupboard, which may not lay for a long time.

Yeah, I haven’t really seen any 3D printed founding formicaria. The humidity in these ones is too high for some species (camponotus, bull ants).

Humidity is no different to a test tube and Camponotus found OK in those.Infact I think test tubes have 99% humidity everywhere in the tube.Whereas here there is a dryer chamber of 80% and would be lower if you open up the ports and plug them with cotton insteadI would use a tubs and tubes setup for bullants as they need large space and are semi claustralYeah, I haven’t really seen any 3D printed founding formicaria.
