Good luck! I have a queen of this species too, but she isn’t doing to good... Hopefully yours will do great so I can see what colony of these ants looks like!

Thanks. How large is your colony?

It was only three workers, but has now dropped to one.

We are at 7 workers. They had there first protein today, a pre-killed baby Dubia roach.
I wish the brood pile was more visible, as it huge! But they are still relatively photophobic and I didn't want to disturb them too much with my camera lights.

Update: Today while feeding them a drop of honey, the queen decided to come out and have a taste of the sweet goodies. It's actually not the first time I've seen her do this though, as I sometimes see her foraging along with the workers in the AC portal. Just yesterday she brought in two cricket legs that I gave them. She's a brave one that one.
Even with their dual cameras, Iphone 7 plus cameras are terrible.

These ants live in Michigan. I hope to catch a queen next year. Good luck with your colony!
