1. Location (on a map) of collection: Morristown, TN
2. Date of collection: 08/03/2018
3. Habitat of collection: Pool, near open field
4. Length (from head to gaster): 7-8 mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black, yellow legs, odd shiny hue to gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Yellow legs and acidopore
7. Distinguishing behavior: Quick for a queen, constantly cleaning
8. Nest description: N/A
9. Nuptial flight time and date: 08/03/2018 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. EST.

Lasius sp, either Lasius americanus or Lasius neoniger. I'm not too sure on which one but i'm thinking its most likely neoniger.

Dang was really hoping to be Lasius Flavus (I hate calling it Brevicornis, lol)!

Lasius americanus based on the time of year. You can confirm once the workers arrive. Lasius neoniger workers are brown and Lasius americanus are black to dark brown.
