Around 240 workers now! Tons of brood. I can't count them anymore! They took a cricket today, and there is always at least 1 major in the outworld now.

Sensei, do you think these ants would do well in a dirt set up like the Drewcarium? I’ve read that they nest in soil, and I’m getting more intrigued by natural set ups.

I made a 3 queen chromaiodes tube. One queen has the rare deep red gene. She has red on her thorax, legs and abdomen.

Mine all have something like this. It seems that these queens are pretty variable. The queens that I've seen on the Tar Heel Ants YouTube channel are almost pitch black, but mine have lots of red on them.

3 out of 13 remaining queens have this rare gene for me.

Freya has laid more eggs, and the largest major yet has eclosed! When is pushing 15 millimeters! I'm guessing around 280 workers and 300 brood. Most of the brood is pupae and large larvae.

They have come out of their little diapause, and are doing well with about 100 workers.

Freya laid over 200 eggs since the last update. Another major eclosed, breaking the record of 15 millimeters, and set the bar at almost 18 millimeters!!! Her head is bigger than the Freya's! She is about .5 millimeters bigger than Freya. Even more pupae and a ton of small and medium larvae! They will not stop eating!

One of my girls has two big larvae now. I have four with eggs total.
