Thank you!! I will go and set up the test tube properly with water in it, etc.  So I keep her in the dark and check on her once a week?

Yes it is. It looks like Formica too.

OH WOW!! This is my first found queen!!  Is Formica a good type to keep?

They can be a little finicky with light. They are however quite easy to keep and grow at a decent pace that isn't too fast or too slow.

Yes. Check once a week. Keep her in a nice dark area free from disturbance. Good luck.

I slowly start to get them used to light after first workers have eclosed, but even then Formica is still finicky.
