Went out around 4 am to look for queens as it was very humid and foggy and found these ants making a trail up an oak tree in my yard. I followed the ones going down into my yard for about 35 feet before I lost sight of them. Just one straight line through the grass and up into the tree. They were black with maybe some dark red tint. The light I was using kinda brought out the red look. Also, they all had large gasters larger than the rest of their bodies but half of them had really swollen gasters with stripes.
Sorry for the bad images.
