1. Location (on a map) of collection: Morristown, TN
2. Date of collection: 07/09/2018
3. Habitat of collection: Backyard—grassy area
4. Length (from head to gaster): 6-7 millimeters
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Orange head and thorax, yellow gaster, shiny
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Heart-shaped gaster, very crematogaster like
7. Distinguishing behavior: Slow and shy like most crematogaster queens
8. Nest description: Dirt and single-tunneled
9. Nuptial flight time and date: Within past week or two

Looks like Crematogaster missouriensis. Talk about a beautiful queen. I am filled with jealousy.

The second I saw her, she was my pride and joy in terms of ants lol. Love her. Thanks y’all! Crematogaster missouriensis seems 100% accurate
