Hello Folks,
I have a few Solenopsis Invicta queens for sale. I am in Atlanta, Georgia. Some with workers(10+) and others with brood. Also have multiple queen colonies that are just getting started with lots of brood.
Thanks!

I just thought that you should see this link. This explains Solenopsis invicta quarantines and regulations as of 2016. http://articles.exte...and-regulations
I can provide more information about them if you don't believe the regulations. Just trying to save you an interview or warning by the USDA.
In the image below, it shows that it is illegal to sell or own these ants. I suggest killing them.

It is illegal to ship any species of ant queens across state lines in the USA. I have never found any regulation stating that it is illegal to sell or own Solenopsis invicta queens or colonies, only regulations established to try to prevent the inadvertent spread through the transport of soil products and soil moving equipment from one state to another. If there is such a law could you please direct me to where I can read it.
The quarantine regulations for Imported Fire Ants are found here... https://www.ecfr.gov...=7y5.1.1.1.2.16
The forum rule regarding posting ants for sale.... (http://www.formicult...tion=boardrules)
8. Members must accurately represent their location in their Member Profile to participate in offers to buy, sell, trade, or otherwise distribute living ants of any caste or life stage. For members located in the United States, offers of live ants are only permitted between members who reside in the same U.S. state. Cross-border offers are not permitted between any members (participating members must reside in the same country or trading zone).

I am well aware of the forum rules, I have been here for quite some time. He did not break that at all; still felt like I needed to remind him as this was his first and only post on the forum though.
As for the laws, there are no direct laws I can find stating that owning or selling these pests is a crime, but I can say that I have had online friends say they have been contacted by the USDA to cease and desist their selling of them inside of quarantine zones. I guess I can not be for certain if they were attempting to ship them or what, but I highly doubt they were. I can contact my friends in the Entomology department at the University of California, Riverside to see what their take on this all is as well as send an email or call to APHIS/USDA to get their information as well.
I report all mentions of selling RIFA to USDA.gov; even out of quarantines.
Guess the sell is off! I don’t know about killing them though.. that’s kind of harsh. They are already all over the place here in Georgia.
Apologies if your first time here was a bit of a shake, but many of us don't like these invasive ants. Just because they are everywhere does not make it okay to let this destructive pest live. Just be sure to never release if you decide to keep. They can be hard to contain too, they are escape artists.
