Can springtails thrive inside a typical and dirty ant test tube setup?
I figure they could keep it cleaner if they are able to live inside the test tube

Current ant colonies -
1) Opisthopsis Rufithorax (strobe ant), Melophorus sp2. black and orange, Pheidole species, Pheidole antipodum

I guess i can try it out, i have few spare colonies in tubes i wouldn't mind to use in experimenting.
Yes they do.
clean the poop....as long as there is enough poop for them to eat should be good....they might even eat mold might help a lot.
