I’m going to purchase this http://www.bioquip.c...ogNum=2851T&P=2from bioquip. I saved up my money becuase I wanted something high quality and easy to setup. Plus I'm not that great at making formicariums and other stuff. My only problem with this would be other critters that would crawl into the trap. Great way to start your morning with a bucket full of centipedes and spiders. *shudders. With this trap would you need to apply fluon? And could you just leave it overnight and check on it in the morning, or check on it every two hours?
What kind of queens would I catch with this trap? Tetramorium, crematogaster, lasius, prenolepis, Camponotus, formica, solenopsis, nylanderia, brachyamyrmex, aphenogaster, monomorium, brachyaponera, stigmatomma, hyponera, mermecina, myrmica, pheidole, ponera, strumigenys, stenemma, tapinoma, tementothorax, procaratium? These are the species known in New York: http://www.antwiki.o...f_New_York_City. I'm in the Rochester area if that helps. Like what queens would I catch?
Thanks in advance. Sorry for all the questions, I'm relatively new.
