Ok guys I am planning on starting an ant journal soon so I need two things
1. Exact species of my ant colony(currently only listed as Crematogaster sp.)
2. A name for my ant colony

I don't think a name of the colony is a necessity right now, and I do think you should make a proper ID post in the ID section. It would be easier to come up with a name once you have the species I think. There you will find a way to follow the format for the forum in order to give people the best chance to ID your species. (edited because I realized I phrased the original terribly)

You gonna need a LOT better pictures for a species ID.
I don't think a name of the colony is a necessity [...]
Don't understimate the importance of a name for a journal, there's a reason the AC channel is slapping names on everything and anything (from the ant colonies to the terrariums to the springtails, makes me wonder when he's going to give names to the plants and mites).
A name makes a colony identifyable as an individual and people will relate to it a lot easier - without a name it's just another journal of species X and there's likely to be plenty of those.
p.s.: I'd call them "the Empress's pointy butts " (but then I guess only true Warhammer40k fans will get that one).

We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

I didn't mean not to name it at all, I like the idea of it; not many people do that on this forum. What I was meaning to say was to wait until you have a species name, then you might be able to come up with a name that fits them a lot more.

I did some research it might be crematogaster boreensis because the head is dark to light and my nanitics have the same colour pattern
