I found this queen last summer and she's been producing non-stop. Her colony recently doubled after successfully adopting workers from another colony that lost their queen. 
Sometimes ants just die and there's nothing you can do. At least the workers got a second chance. There was one bully that I had to pluck but the rest got along great.

What is that they're eating? I think mine has to get over the too-few-workers hump to take off, which is difficult since the new workers don't seem to know how to forage.
