Surprise, another journal!  I wonder what has gotten into me?  I don't have much to say other than I got these queens from dspdrew after he told me he got too many queens.  Out of the six total, three of them have brood and one has a good amount of cocoons.  I'm just keeping them in tubes for now and might place the tubes into an outworld for foraging.

Yay Zeiss posted a thread! Anyway, it does seem that these queens have a low success rate as out of my 19, only around 1/3 or 1/2 have brood. Mine also have cocoons and larvae.

So... I did a thing and procrastinated on posting again.  This time all Formica francoeuri are dead.  I sold a couple colonies and then the rest I used as test dummies.
