1. Found in backyard of a suburban area.
2. Caught June 24, 2018
3. Found on a white bed sheet.
4. 7-9 mm in length.
5. Dark in color.
6. Distinguishing characteristics - I’m new to this and don’t know what might be original to this ant.
7. The ant is calm and not picking at the cotton in a proper test tube setup.
8. Nest description: NA
9. Nuptial flight time and date: NA

It's a male. Possibly Camponotus.

I would say this is more likely a Formica male.
