Those strumigenys don't appear to be louisianae.

What do you feed your Temnothorax colonies? I just found a T. longispinosus colony.

They really like honey. I usually just soak a cotton ball in honey and they go crazy over it. As for insects, they will try to eat lots of different kinds, but they must be really torn apart/broken down, or else they can’t even chew threw them sometimes. Basically, they’re not picky. Good luck!

What do you feed your Temnothorax colonies? I just found a T. longispinosus colony.

Temnothorax will take honey/sugar water and any normal insect feeder, they're not very picky. Congrats on the longispinosus, they're an amazing find!

Yeah, after reading more about them they sound really cool. Apparently they can have fertilized workers too.

Thinking about trying to make your formicariums. Did the wooden mold get destroyed every time you poured the grout? Also how much did all the materials end up costing? If they ended up being a lot do you suggest just buying a tarheel nest intstead?
