Hi there. Even through watching multiple videos and reading articles I'm still confused as to how the gamergate system functions within this genus. While the gamergate of a colony removes the gemmae of newly eclosed workers, if retained, would they be able to produce workers or would they require to mate with a male in order to produce workers?

Thank you in advance.

They would require a male.
