I found this drone at a park, but was the only one of this particular species, since the other ones I found were Brachymyrmex drones.

Location Found: Mojave Desert

Length: About 6 mm

Coloration: Abdomen/Head - Dark Brown, Thorax - Dark Brown, Legs - Light yellow

Abdomen also has yellow lines

I personally think that it is a Dorymyrmex bureni drone, since I have kept a Dorymyrmex bureni queen before. The drone looks almost identical to the queen, other than the smaller head, and thin gaster.

It looks to be a Dorymyrmex drone. Likely not bureni as that species is not found near the Mojave desert.
