Zoo Med Excavator Clay is on sale. It is advertised that reptiles can dig through but at the same time the tunnels cannot collapse. Any ideas?

Species I keep:

1 Lasius cf. Neoniger 30 workers

1 Camponotus sp. 15 workers

20 Tetramorium SpE 30 workers

1 T. Sessile 200 workers

It looks like plain ole dirt to me. It seems this substrate is to be kept dry which isn't very ant friendly.

That looks like something I got to try! But couldn't have a natural setup with that and mist it every once in a while so the ants can easily move it around, I mean that does look pretty sturdy.

I am planning to Camponotus in it as it can't be wet.
