Here’s a update ! This was probably my least favorite queen of all time to begin with . She didn’t lay much and didn’t look like she was doing well. Welp! As soon as she hit a certain stage she kinda just exploded! Lol that’s when I started giving her a lot more crickets and that gave her a boost. The one in the mini hearth isn’t doing so well she was my favorite because of her brood development was very fast so was the one I been posting about. But I’m guessing size does matter in the Pogonomyrmex world. Bigger queens seems to have a better chance at surviving!
Here are the things I did to get these queens started!
I feed them pin head crickets 🦗 but they were a little bigger, dandelions seeds, once in a blue moon I would give them sugar water and most importantly heat and some type of humidity. I also gave them oat wheat uncooked. But I don’t really like it because the oats mold over time . That’s all I gave them in a course of one month the first worker enclosed for both queens.
