I feel like Solenopsis invicta is actually pretty beautiful. Sad they're invasive.

I agree with this 100%

Very cool ants. I know they're invasive and all, but that's people's fault. They're just trying to adapt and survive like any other creature. I'm not saying RIFA is good, I'm just saying they are very cool despite all the hate they get.

Fun to keep, bad to release. Or at least, that's how I see it.

Several of the colonies were dumped together, and apparently nobody murdered eachother. Other colonies already have 30ish, workers. The one colony that all got dumped together i think has over 20 queens. No deaths yet.

Maybe that's why they are so successful in spreading I wonder how many queens found a new colony together and stay polygynouse after first workers.

I agree. They are very cool looking ants. Especially the queens!

I'm curious how you plan to contain them. It would be cool if you make a video of the multi-queens being dumped together!

UPDATE ON THESE:

The colonies got overwhelming and they couldn't be contained as expected. They were froze.

Take Note: The queens never killed each other.

I wonder if feasibly you could have a 100 queen colony and I wonder if breeding within the colony would take place. It might help researchers understand more of RIFA’s behaviors in the wild.
