I've seen Pheidole and Formica (I meant Lasius) queens everyday for a week straight. Also a large flight of Solenopsis molesta, and one drowned Polyergus queen. I'm content with my current setup though, so I'm not catching anything.

Cool. What kind of Lasius are you seeing?

Ughhh.... I know next to nothing about the genus. All I know is that the are brown and (most likely) not parasitic. Those are the vast majority, but I've still seen some of the glossier ones that smell like lemons.

Yesterday night, there was a bunch of Lasius males that were swarming. I was hoping for a queen but didn't find any.

Ya, the queens ae a little hard to come by. Look for an area where the setting sun casts a light that makes all flying insects visible (yal know what I'm talking about!) and try to snag a queen out of the air. This is the only method that's worked for me so far as I never see them land.

Bam! Found three dealate Crematogaster queens at my go-to spot. I don't think this was their big flight of the year.

That's me too. I don't have a "secret spot" and all of that.  I usually just go out to a big dry field next to a canal, or check my backyard. lol

But hey, I have success from that so....

Will they fly next few days or this is last time or something? I'm kind of new, sorry for dumb questions.
