Camponotus castaneus flew in the last two days. These are the last of the Camponotus species to fly

I only got some males at my light. I haven’t found any other Camponotus, either. I haven’t tried very hard, though.

They haven't flown yet but there are so many alates and males under every rock I flip over and it just rained today so they might fly this weekend. (Camponotus Castaneus)

Weird all the colonies in the woods near me still have all of their alates and drones, maybe they just haven't flown right where I am, we have had rain several days a week for the past 1 1/2 weeks maybe they are just waiting

When did you check them? They started flying last 3 days or so for me. Your temperatures should be higher by a few degrees

C. castaneus will still be flying up until early June. They are certainly not done. Black light traps are the best way to find them.

Is anyone expecting P. Imparis flights today? Temperatures should reach the minimum at 4-5 pm where I am.
