Today we caught three queens. First he caught the Castaneus then we went and found A Myrmecina then walking on a log we there was a Tapinoma sessile queen. Still no tetramorium there were still many queens in an nest I found. One of my teachers saw a large winged queen ant that looks like a Formica Pallidefulva queen but i don't think they have flown yet.

I've been waiting for tetra to fly and I haven't seen any flying... but I found a flying queen in my classroom. Lol

I also saw Crematogaster swarming with alates but not flying yet.

It has been raining since the beginning of the week and the forecast says that it will rain till next week. Queens definitely fly after this. I've seen a lot of Aphaenogaster alates in nests so I think they will fly.

I think hypoponera flew last night or this morning I caught a queen and what I think is a male. The queen seems like she is shedding her wings them but I don't think she's mated so I put her with the maybe male.

Just came back early from TN a day ago and spent my time today looking for queens. I found a tetramorium queen, another pheidole dentata queen under a rock, and a pretty decent sized pheidole tysoni colony. I was short on queens before this, so now these colonies will bring more diversity into my room.
