Went outside last night and only got 3 castaneus and 1 interjectus. 1 of the castaneus gassed itself and the other two died of insecticides.

I hope to find a ton of cast. Love their color. Never been able to get them to year 2. I know they're around me but don't know exactly where their nests are. Plus I have a movie tonight.

Keeps: Camponotus, Tetra

Wants (Please reach out if you have them for sale if you’re in the US): Acromyrmex Sp., Atta Sp., Cephalotes Sp., Myrmecocystus Sp (Prefer Mexicanus), Odontomachus Sp. (Prefer Desertorum), Pachycondyla Sp., Pheidole Sp (Prefer Rhea. The bigger the better. Not the tiny bicarinata), Pogonomyrmex Sp (Prefer Badius)., Pseudomyrmex Sp. (Prefer the cute yellow ones)

One of the Castaneaus queens I caught last night died as well and started acting crazy and died. I’m assuming it gassed itself as well. I didn’t know they could do that. I also had a Lasius Aphidicola Queen do that this year. Strange

I found three C. castaneus queens at my light last night in the intervals it wasn’t raining. Nylanderia vividula and Temnothorax are starting their flights as well. I also found three Tetramorium queens around my block this morning.

More obliqua, ambiguus, sessile, curvispinosus, and opacior tonight. I also found my first bicarinata queen and two of what I believe are minutissimus but I will have to get better pictures to tell.

I found 2 bicarinata this morning and a dentata last night to the best of my knowledge. I’m still learning Pheidole species but I’m very pleased with the findings this year.

When do y'all find the most Pheidole dentata dealates? We just had our first good rain in the last three weeks and I'll be searching tomorrow morning. I know Ph. bicarinata, tysoni will be abundant as always.
