Found around 30 Temnothorax queens today(there were at least 2 or 3 different spp. of them) and 1 colobopsis queen under a blacklight.

Yup. They’ve been out in force. I even had a Colobopsis in my living room.

I’ve been a crazy man and set a timer on my blacklight to cut on at 4:00am. I wake up a little after that to check for dawn flights. Today I was rewarded with seeing a massive Aphaenogaster flight. I collected two queens I watched mate. I’m still getting skunked by the Pheidole genus, though. Ugh!

C. pennsylvanicus are weird in the sense that they fly continuously throughout the summer in small amounts.

Nice! We just got our first major Colobopsis flights a few nights ago. I've been on the lookout and already got one C. obliqua and a few Ph. bicarinata as well as the first Ph. tysoni queen of the month!

Colobopsis flights have been extremely heavy here for the last two weeks. Queens fly in my house when I shut the light off, and I find them all over the house.

Found this lovely lady contemplating a few sticks. Seems she may have flown fairly recently.
