Termites are having their nuptial flights right now. I'm not interested, but thought I'd let you know just in case anyone is.

yeah, they flew for an hour yesterday. Caught some for ant food.

I set up my blacklight last night, I didn't catch any queens cause I'm leaving and all soon. (It was to catch some moths for my Med. Gecko) And I found 2 Colobopsis queens, 2 Camp. near., 5 Camp. chrom., and 1 rogue Tetramorium male!

I use a blackflag blacklight (It was once a bug zapper but I made some adjustments and transformed it into a "non-killable" bug attractant! Or should I say Attract-ant! ;) )  I don't know the wattage though, it was a part of the mechanism I took off and threw away...

What happened! I blacklighted and caught jack squat! Even the hundreds of males were so frustrated at the lack of queens that they started trying to hump beetles (I'm not kidding).

It would be interesting if the males actually got to them..........
