I'm trying to gauge if there are some people that would commit to buying a few blocks of AAC/Ytong/Hebel so that I could justify importing a pallet from the US (Florida). The blocks would be 6" x 8" x 24" most likely so you could get a few nests out of it. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post pricing/links to those threads I created in here so I'll just leave it at that. You should be able to find them easily here or on reddit.

Depending on the price I would buy a few bricks.

Probably $20-$25 per brick. However, shipping from Alberta to Nova Scotia will be costly. A few bricks would be in access of 100 lbs. I'm still trying to figure out the best pricing for shipping these in Canada.

Back when I was researching this, it looked like Hebel blocks were the best when it came to sizes and not having anything like metal inside them. I think they had really large blocks of pure AAC.

Like AntsMAN says, it would really depend on price and I doubt that having them shipped to you and then you shipping them again to buyers is going to be anywhere near a reasonable price. They're bricks! :(

I think my best hope is visiting southern US myself at some point and just bringing one or two home.

But do the calculations and let us know. Since they are aerated, they are lighter than regular bricks, so maybe it's not as bad as I think.

Is Hebel the exact same thing as Ytong or AAC? I may have a supplier here in South Carolina! If all works out I will start to make Hebel formicariums.

Ytong and Hebel are two brands of AAC but both belong to the Xella Group. Ytong is the more popular brand name in Europe.

Il buy some depending on price and shipping. Would love this stuff! You could become one of the first suppliers! Even better we need an anter near the boarder to bring some over on a regular basis.
