Hi everyone,

I caught one small colony today, not sure if I even have a queen here.

Queen + colony?

1. Location of collection: Toronto, Canada
2. Date of collection: Mar 28 2018
3. Habitat of collection: Inside log
4. Length (from head to gaster): 8 to 10 mm queen?
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black

Does it look like I even have a queen here (the big one in the middle of the picture)? If so, what species might it be?

Thanks!

Looks like a major worker. Although these pics aren't too clear especially with the other workers clustered around it. The species C.nearcticus.
