Hello everyone,

I am new to ant keeping. Getting my first colony or two on April 7th from GAN members. L. Niger for sure and maybe Tetramorium Sp.

I have more experience in keeping Tarantulas and other inverts. I even have a YouTube channel for my exotic pets of the same name as my username.

Just here to learn about my new pets and how to best care for them before I go pick them up.

The seller calls then Lasius Niger. Idk if that is diffrent from Lasius Neoniger.

lasius Niger and lasius Neoniger a two different species.

L. niger are not present in N.A. so it must be L. neoniger, another Lasius sp.
