I'm honestly real sick of seeing fire ants around here because I rarely see anything else. They're in such overabundance that no one really cares to start a journal about them lol.
Well I know that many of you up north and everywhere else don't get to see fire ants so I caught a queen while I was at work, but could easily find one near my doorstep if I wanted to.
I'm creating a RIFA Solenopsis invicta journal in HD for those who don't really get a chance to see them up close.
Here's the founding queen with her wings still attached. As 3/15/18 she's removed her own wings. I just keep her in a little container with a piece of paper towel.
