Where do you live? It's illegal to transport ants across country lines. But if you want to know where certain ants live, antmaps.org is useful

not all countries is it illegal to transport ants across borders. the only ones i know for sure about are the US and i believe AUS, other than that most European and Asian countries don't really have super strict ant importation laws

I currently maintain a site dedicated to the hyper-diverse myrmicine genus Pheidole.:

PHEIDOLE

I also own the Lurker's Guide to Leafcutters Ants

Depends on what part of Bulgaria you visit. In that time of the year you can find Formica, maybe some Tetramorium.
