I have a relative that calls every mechanical thing from her vacuum to her car "Betsy".

Other than that, I call a tv a tv.  If I need to specify which tv, I usually refer to the brand name "Sony" or "Panasonic".

I have a number of things you could call it besides TV depending on your type of TV. LCD, CRT, PDP, LED, DLP, SED, and FED.
