Black Ant Queen I.D.?

I'm in Michigan and someone ki be sent me a queen. She was supposed to have a few workers, but it's ok. She has some eggs.

youll definitely need better pictures to get an acurate ID

If you insist on using these photos, at least provide some useful information. Edit this post or publish another thread using the correct template, and remember to add necessary details.
Based on what we've got now, I guess I'd go with some sort of Lasius or Formica. Please, please, try to take some clear, in-focus pictures.

i would go to walmart and you can buy a cheap macro lense for your phone from there

Judging by the size of that presumed cacoon to the right of the queen in the last picture, I would say Lasius neoniger. Formica nanitics wouldn't be that small in relation to the queen.

It's important to focus the camera when taking pictures of ants for an ID thread.
