Firebrick Formicariums

I am going to build a formicarium for my ants using firebrick and was wondering if k26 firebrick is ok to use.

It would probably be fine, just a bit harder to carve.

Why would you not recommend it because it's ceramic?
Harder to carve, brittle (I think, been a while since I have gotten my paws on some of that stuff), among other things. I guess just because it hasn't been used by other members to make something. This means that if something goes wrong, it'll he harder to help. But I wouldn't go by this, now that I think about it. I probably don't know as much as others here, so take my advice with a grain of salt
