One I'm certain in mymrecia pilosula the other unsure. I had the pilosula queen for a week before I stumbled across what looked to be a nanatic of it's species, due to the size. I decided I'd give it a go and see what happened. There was a lot of chasing, but more intrigued chasing, no aggression. 10 mins after they were both cleaning one another. 2 days after the queen had laid 10 eggs.
My second mymrecia queen I got yesterday. She had 3 pupae on collection, she had barely dug a chamber just chilling under a rock. Today, like the first time, I saw what I thought was a nanatic. I also collected a callowed worker which was far bigger than the nanatic. I introduced the callowed worker first. It started well, but they started brawling. I took it out and put it where I found it. Then I tried the nanatic, again, no aggression just a lot of curiosity towards each other. 10 mins later they began cleaning each other and the queen even fed it.
I'm unsure if this is strictly a mymrecia thing or not.
Off topic to my first, I found 2 camponotus queens in completely different places, both the same species. I decided id try and mix them together. No aggression, one actually submitted to the other and began cleaning and feeding one another in mins. Now they've got 10 eggs between them.
I'll get some pics up tomorrow of all the ants mentioned.
