I’d love an update

It bothers me that they keep the trash piled up in the bottom chamber!  Otherwise this colony is huge. I don't have a worker count but one day i will count. Lots of majors! I don't feed too often, maybe once every three days. I don't want this colony to grow toooo fast. Might buy a tar heel ants stronghold.

Yeah I’ll let them grow in numbers and then hopefully it gets so cramped that they have to clean up.

Currently hibernating these guys in clear container store container with grout bottom and test tubes. Started hibernating end of October.

they're in my fridge which is about 35 degrees. used the same fridge last year. these guys could tolerate freezing temps and be fine from what I'm told. 

 

worker count, I'm too lazy to count lol but I'm guessing ~250

a lot died due to my neglect but i gave this colony away for free to "oldmantrashcan" and he had the audacity to sell to someone else. 

 

i will never give away free colonies again.
