Hi, I buy all my mantids from mantidforum.net market place area. Just make a "wanted" post and within no time someone is going to message you. Their market area is always very active. There is also reviews for users so you won't get ripped off.

What's the issue? I checked it out and it doesn't have any issue with me creating a new account.

Always been interested in ants. But a close second would have been mantids. Should I order some?!

They are fun, but you won't wanna get more than 2 or three if you just want them for observational/playing with purposes. Sometimes they can be pains in the a$$es to get to eat. My first ones I had gotten like 25 of them, because I wanted to breed them, however feeding was a huge issue and I spent way too much time on them. So I sold all but 4. Also, start with a noob species or they will likely die on you.

Hell yeah, mantids are very curious which makes them even better. I don't think you should start with orchid mantids, but a few beginner species would be good, such as: Phyllocrania paradoxa, Hierodula sp., Tenodera sinensis, Sphodromantis gastrica, Popa spurca, Deroplatys sp., Rhombodera sp., & Creobroter sp. If you do some research on any of these species, I think you will find it isn't too hard to take care of them.
Also, keep in mind when housing them, they need a cage at least 3 times the length of their body in height, and at least 2 times the length of their body in width. They love to have honey as treats too!
