Ant hibernation questions

I understand that a lot of ant species hibernate and they need this for a normal life cycle. My question is Hawaiian ants never go through a cold time that they would hibernate through. So in keeping these ant colonies do I need to hibernate them? I have a Pseudomyrmex Gracilis and brachymyrmex obsurior currently. Thank you for any help in this topic.
