I don't mean to double post, but I figured this thread would also be appropriate to post in.
As I said, "Loops, Drew, and I all have CR-10's now. I can vouch for it in everything - massive build volume, inexpensive price, huge community behind it, extremely simple setup, quality... everything you really need."
The Creality 3D CR-10 comes in several different versions, but the original is the most practical in my opinion. There's the regular one, the mini (which is more expensive than the bigger one, haha), and the extra large S4 (500mmx500mm). The CR-10 is plenty big for anything you will need to print, and the quality of the prints are incredible for the relatively low price. There are several "brands" of the CR-10. HICTOP manufactures the CR-10 and hands them over to Creality to be packaged and sold. HICTOP also sells the printer, and the only difference is that instead of having a "Creality" sticker on the electric box it says "HICTOP" and the bootup logo is different. The injection-molded parts are all branded Creality. I've also seen other brands of CR-10's and I am not sure if they are knockoff or the same situation as Creality/HICTOP.
