Update: (Feb 20, 2018)
A few days ago I moved the colony from the garage into the dining room. All the workers and queen are behaving normally now and are pretty active. I think they've been drinking the honey I gave them because their gasters have enlarged.

Lol I forgot to update this on Thursday. Basically on Thursday I gave them their first mealworm of the year. I even saw the largest major come out which was cool since it usually just stays inside the straw of their test tube, standing guard where I can’t see it.

I absolutely love this Journal. When that major hatched in the first page it almost brought a tear to my eye lol. Not sure why but it's the beauty of ant keeping presented here + the awesome quality pictures lol.

The colony has soooo many larvae now.
There are some really big ones too, so I'm gonna have more majors soon
I also just fed them 2 mealworms and a drop of honey.

Super nice colony!! I did not know this journal existed. Have you only been feeding them mealworms?

May I ask what kind of honey you are feeding them?

Yeah, so far I have been feeding them only mealworms. In the beginning, I fed them small moths from outside that I caught using a bug zapper. I would advise against doing that now though as they could have pesticides. I also have a Dubia Roach colony so I may feed them those in the future.

Well, the jar my mom bought from the store says Orange California Honey, 100% US Grade A, Packaged by Meeks Honey. I think the honey is strained.

I am Soo jealous... Mytmentoma Camponotus are amazing.
Haha that’s why Camponotus hyatti are one of my dream species

You should feed them fruit flies, mealworms alone aren't enough nutrition.
Yeah I’ll probably start feeding them Dubia roaches

Duuuuuude sick. I’ll probably move them when they have at least 50 workers.Guess who just found myrmentoma Camponotus in his school, possibly hyatti? Oh and are you going to move them into a formicarium soon?
