So, I paid one guy to animate me an intro for my channal, after not meeting 7 different deadlines, I got sick of that guy. I paid this guy on fiverr to do it, first time was a fail, and then he created me this... honestly I reviewed him well because it was a difficult request, but I'm not a fan. What y'all think?

Honestly, the last one was better. This is incredibly simple. While you cannot expect movie-grade animation for $50, I believe you could have gotten much better for your money.

Drop the alates flying part, and do the Bayside Ants logo intro (the last few seconds) and I think it looks good.  TBH I prefer short intros on channels and get annoyed at long ones; terrible attention span.

 

EDIT:  People coming to your channel will be going there already knowing you are doing something ants related.  So showing ants flying/etc to me seems superfluous.

An intro doesn't need to be long or super fancy. Just look at the AC intro which is pretty short and simple but perfectly suited for the job.

that's actually the specific one I was thinking about.

 

Short, clean, clear on the point. Can show literally anyone and they'd be able to deduce its most likely going to be about ants.

You could probably do something better yourself by just using MS Paint/Paint Net and Powerpoint.

Agreed. It is awful. That is not worth $50. And does not look like to took much time to create. Might want to find someone different in the future to animate your intro.

Not to be mean, but whoever created this needs a trip to animation school xD

Maybe your intro should just be a clip of ants foraging/eating, and ending with the final part of the animated intro (the Bayside Ants part)

Well I'm not experienced enough in animations to judge if it was worth $50. But you can even create a nice looking intro without use of heavy cgi. Look at the intro of this video (from youtube channel of a German ant keeper)

In all honesty, I think this thread is pointless. Having an opinion like you said knowing it is terrible, only caused turmoil in part of this forum. I don't think you need to cause "enragement" if you already have a set opinion. This post clearly was not meant for advice because you were clueless, you already knew what you thought and what everyone else was going to think. Good luck though!

haha, Oh, I'm sorry. I'll try to avoid asking other opinions in the future. This is a discussion kid, on whether or not others think this is suitable for a video Intro or not. The opinions are gonna vary. And I'm glad I asked because I got the answers I wanted. The only post that's made or is going to make this thread go south is your comment.

 

Where is this "enragement"?
